PulsaCoil BP

Everything you need to know about operation and maintenance of a PulsaCoil BP boiler

Making it quick and easy for specifiers, installers and operators (including housing associations, tenants and homeowners) to book a repair, order spare parts, or replace cylinders and thermal stores.

About the PulsaCoil BP

The PulsaCoil BP is a thermal storage cylinder, more commonly known as an open vented thermal store.

The water within your PulsaCoil BP is heated by immersion elements. When a hot water tap is turned on, cold water is passed through an external plate heat exchange which heats the water which is then regulated by a mechanical blending valve, allowing the hot tap water to be delivered at full mains pressure; one of the primary benefits of installing a thermal store instead of a conventional hot water cylinder.

Running costs are kept low by use of budget electrical tariffs, allowing the PulsaCoil BP to be heated during off peak periods.

Unlike a conventional un-vented cylinder, it has no serviceable parts and it does not require annual maintenance. It is fully compliant with the Hot Water Association (HWA) specifications for thermal stores and is 2010 Part L1A (new build and refurbishment) compliant.
